Messed up fighter power questions

Wouldn't it be a zone in that case? Bursts and blasts are instantaneous.

Zones can be Dispelled. This really should be an Aura 1 that lasts until the end of the encounter.

I think you're all right in that the "spirit" of the Fighter power is to make it an aura, but as written it's not. For each ally around the fighter when he uses that ability, they get +1 or +2 to their defenses until the end of the encounter regardless of whether or not they're next to the fighter throughout the entire fight.
