Miasma - has it ever been officially clarified?

Y'know, the MotW spell that allows a 7th level druid to outright kill anything with an average constitution or lower, unless they have a stilled dispel magic prepared? The language is kind of ambiguous as to what the target can do while he is dying, but die he will, unless he can hold his breath for 35 rounds or higher.

Sorry if this has been discussed to death already - if you point me in the direction of a relevant thread, I'll shut up.

Thanks for the references.

Still, it appears that there is still no official word from WotC on the subject, since I am not aware of any errata for MotW.

The errata of legend - the fort save negates - seems to be simple enough and makes enough sense to implement. It's still a mighty nasty spell...

You can hold your breath and act. When the Fort save is too risky for holding your breath, take a round off and cough, resetting the hold-breath-counter. Then hold you breath again. It is killer vs. spellcasters, but they are killer for everything else...
