Mighty Composite Bows

By the rules, is it possible to have a mighty composite longbow with a mighty bonus greater than +4 or a mighty composite shortbow with a mighty bonus greater than +2? The rules seem to imply that these are the limits (based on the fact that nothing greater than +2 for the mighty composite shortbow is listed). On the other hand, several deities from Deities & Demigods have might composite bows with mighty bonuses far greater than these.

So which is it?

In the 3.5 PHB in the weapon descriptions it states no limit on how high the mighty bonus can go. It does say that for each +1 you add 100gp for the Longbow and 75gp for the Shortbow to the weapons cost. I think that bonuses greater than four are not listed because normal (standard generation) characters do not typically have strength scores greater than 18 or a +4 strength bonus.
