@mikemearls - Stuff I Want

Old Gumphrey

First Post
Since you ruined my pie crust with your d20's, you owe me.

-Make a class builder that integrates with the character builder. Making your own classes is fun, rewarding, fun, awesome, and fun. I want a necromancer who is a defender and "tanks" with his undead minions while pooping on the cycle of life and crippling people, not a goth wizard in black robes.

-Add templating to the monster builder. Why spend 10+ minutes editing a monster when I can grab a template from a dropdown menu and be finished with one click? Include NPC templates as well.

-Corollary to above: companion character tool. There should be a better way to do this in 2010. My options are: hack it out in monster builder, or write it on an index card. Writing stuff on paper is so 2008.

-Holy stinking crap why can't we edit powers in the character builder? Like seriously. Whiteout & rewrite on every printout gets tiresome. I don't want to see Nut Strike Bologna Slap on my power card, I want to just see Bologna Slap. (And posters: I know about the .xml hacking you can do; too much trouble, doesn't really help) And I don't just mean renaming. Adding stuff or changing damage types would be incredibly helpful, too.

Definitely on-board with templates in the MB and a companion character builder.

Fantastic terrain in the Compendium would be pretty cool too.

He would just use the editable system to rename all of his powers things like "Bologna Slap" and "Nut Strike" anyway.

And if you can export/import it to others, all the better.

Not only will DMs love you, but so will 3rd party publishers.

I want the SAGA Rules System back!

(I was doing some digging and found an old Usenet post by Mike Mearls where he praises the Dragonlance: Fifth Age box, so I have reason to believe he may be sympathetic to this quixotic crusade of mine. :) )

I think the true win is when the CB gives me the ability to edit text flat out. Houseruling with the CB is currently difficult. I want the ability to change stats, write in new text, add subtract numbers after the core character is built.

With that in place, the CB will have solidified itself in my eyes as the best electronic game aid I have ever had.

Been asking for it on Wizards forums for what, a year? More? No results.

Looks like there's zero resources on MB at this moment.
