Milwaukee, WI - looking for a 3.5 game

Due to the implosion of both my main group and its spin-off group, I am looking for a game in the Milwaukee area. I would like to join a game that plays on a regular basis (twice a month, for example), preferrably with grown-ups.

Though I am used to playing D&D 3.5, I am open to other options (such as FR, d20 Modern, Call of Cthulhu), if that's what the group does/wants.

Must game in a non-smoking environment. And I swear like a sailor, if that matters.

You can email me at lookingforagame@wayson.net to discuss details.

Thanks.

P.S. Did I mention that I give kick-ass holiday presents, about every 2-3 years? My last DM got a wooden crossbow (which really works).

P.P.S. Yes, I'm not above bribery to get into a good gaming group. ;)

Hi Barendd Nobeard,

I run Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed. On every other Tuesday, I have a quickling faen akashic that might be available. I will have to talk to the group first.

And on every Thursday night, I am full up. But if someone drops out I will let you know if you are interested.

Peace and smiles :)

Thanks, Jaws!

I don't know the setting very well, but that's easy enough to rectify if it works out (I don't think the local game store will mind if I spend more money). :) Are you still up in Men. Falls?

And just fyi, I'm meeting with Sqwonk next week about possibly starting up a game.

Drat! I'd love to have you in my saturday night game Barend, but the game store we play in is a smoking environment (the owner smokes) and a non-swearing environment (family friendly shop). And then of course there's the whole drive time problem..... anyway, good luck finding a group. I'll even drop a reference since I GMed a Weird Wars game Barend played in. He's the kind of player you want.

And as far as the smoking / swearing policy, I'm not kidding. The club wanted to go non smoking, even most of the smokers, but, well, he is the owner you know.

I actually try not to swear during games, but the words do slip out on occassion, so I didn't want to surprise any one if they do. Uh, ok, I'll be honest--when they do. I played a Little Fears game at GenCon last year, and I took the character with the Potty Mouth disadvantage, just in case something slipped out. :)

I'd really consider playing in a smoking environment, if it meant I got to game with you, Chris. But, yeah, the drive to Central Illinois would be a killer!! :)

Well shoot guy, according to Streets and Trips it's only 221.6 miles, or 3 hours 37 minutes. If you aren't willing to put up with a little inconvenience...

Starting a campaign in October

Hi Barendd,
Your original post is months old, so this may be biting on some stale bread, but I am recruiting players to join a campaign set in a fantasy version of colonial America (early, 1640). Pretty much straight 3.5 rules, at my wife's request. Sessions would be either Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons.
If you'd like to know more, reply to krynndm@speakeasy.net
