Minatures Tournament Rant

Cerubus Dark

First Post
Okay, why in the world would I need a DCI judge to set up skirmish games for the D&D minis line? Is it not enough to have a RPGA judge on hand?

After all what the heck do DCI judges, (who by the way MUST KNOW THE MAGIC: The Addiction rules! ) have to do with any of the mini lines?

gah I think I have a Wizard from the Coast to throttle at the moment.

I have no idea.

Ask this question on the Wizards boards - I think you've been misinformed. As I understand it, you need a Judge for the tournament, but there's no certification process involved at all - it's just someone who is nominated as the Judge by the organiser. It's not like Magic (yet).

Cheers!

lol, beat you to it. This question/rant is already there.

and it is on the web site that you need a DCI judge for the event.
I only wasted my time getting RPGA certified so I could run these events.

As far as rants go, I must admit I've seen better. A bit on the short side if you ask me. I'dd give this one a C, but that would be totally based on content and not on style. With a longer setup, you could have gotten a B. Spice it up with a few analogies in unrelated field (preferably ones that none of us here have any knowledge about - remember Monte Cooks doll collecting analogy?) and you might have been considered for an A.
An A+ is of course only for a rant either without content or on an issue nobody else really cares about.

;)
Take care,

Peter
