Minds in Hedrad: (NF's Scarred Lands Psionic Game!)

Nightfall said:

Rotghar nods and sighs. "Alright. Well recently there's been rumors of Calastian spies within the city. These spies are also trying to build sympathy for their god, Chardun and possibly install him along side the Hedradan hierarchy, albeit as a military wing, not as a religious order. Thus they could retain their autonomy and not have to worry about the High Priest or even the Justicars. Again it's just rumors. But I had heard also they seek to gain access to various things within the Library, possibly to help their own cause as well as use some of the stuff as weapons in their wars. There's one strong rumor that they were interested in relics from the past, even Slacerian stuff. That's all I know. I can give you the name of a fella that knows more...but he's a little harder to find. His woman might know."
"I'll listen, friend, and I'll listen to the troubles you are having as well. I'm good at listening, as I should be. My brethren are the kind that fight, you know, and fighters don't like to be interupted with much. So I listen, and when I speak it makes a point. Now, please, parley, go ahead and ask your favor of me, and I'll see about the female counterpart to the contact. I can find him, I'm doubtless."

Drevin, of course, draws attention to the known third eye with those last few words. His confidence in the eye of the spirit is bold.

Rotghar nods. "Alright. I'll bring her here. But it will have to be tomorrow. I'm being watched I'm sure. But all I ask, you keep a low profile while I'm bringing her here."

Last minute post:

"I accept the terms of our 'business' exchange then. You are dismissed."

And with that, Drevin attempts (ever so non-chalantly) to walk back up the dock-stairs and into the main city of Hedrad. He attempts to buy a last-minute pair of nearly-stale pastry for a copper, if he can.

"I love my cakes, especially when they are dry, and rich with character."

<<We've arrived at the tower, but the City Guards seem to be trying to keep people away.>> Verity thinks to Samahtar. <<Perhaps Jondyn can get us in?>>

"Jondyn, can you talk to the guards? If anyone asks, I'm your servant, and you have wardship over Samahtar."

<<Verity's idea has merit,>> Samahtar projects to Jondyn. <<Proceed with the illusion... if any guard should give us trouble, I will ensure that he is more... friendly, towards us.>>

<<Verity, I have told Jondyn to go ahead with your idea.>> He then projects to Verity. <<Should we be troubled, I will use my abilities to persuade anyone who bothers us to assist us, rather than hinder us.>>

Jondyn whispers to his companions, "I'll do my best."

OOC: Can I think back at them, or is it one way? If two-way, I'll think that last bit instead.

<ooc> Sure you can. They communicate using telepathy. As for the entrance to the tower, the alley is a one way alley. It's about the only way to get the tower, since there are no main streets surrounding it. The wizard apparently didn't like to have many visitors. </ooc>

<Looks like this is the only way> Jondyn sent to Verity and Samhatar, <unless either of you see another way in... er, sorry 'bout that Samhatar. I forget sometimes.>

<<It is no matter.>> Samahtar thinks quickly to Jondyn. <<If it becomes necessary for me to see, tell me and I will use my powers to gain sight for a few minutes. Only do so when necessary, however - I have only a limited supply of power, and cannot waste it on frivolous encounters.>>

<ooc> Remember guys, power expenditures are costly. I hope you're keeping track along with me. </ooc>

Jondyn, as you lead your fellows, the patrol there hails you. "Halt! Stay your business here!" The man that speaks to you is tall lanky human. His tabard isn't in the best of shape nor do he look it. Beside him a woman and two other guardsman stand with halbards at their side. They appear to be stopping everyone that comes here.

Samahtar you can sense the unguarded emotions here. Mainly a mixture of fear, suprise and a burning desire to leave this place.
