Mini Six Reflex Penalty

Hey. I'm new around here. I've been lurking for a while but some confusion in the Mini Six PDF got me to post. The problem I'm having is with multiple actions and relfex penalties. So if you take multiple actions in a turn, each action is penalized 1D per action beyond the first. I.e., two action will each take -1D, three will all take -2D, etc. But the reflex penalty states that dodging, blocking and parrying count as actions and take a penalty as such. How does this work if you've already taken your actions for that round? Let's say I took two actions in my turn, each with a -1D penalty, then block an attack on the attacker's turn. Does my block take a -2D penalty? That's how I interpret it. You can't go back and apply the additional action penalty to a previously taken action so you just penalize further actions.

Now take an example where I'm blocking an attack on an attacker's turn before my turn in a round. Do all of my actions during my turn take a penalty for each dodge or block taken during attackers' turns? It would seem like they do. So if Enemy A attacks and I block in one turn, then Enemy B attacks in the next turn that round I take a -1D penalty to the second block. Then during my turn of that round, if I take a single action it gets a -2D penalty from the blocking I've done in previous turns that round. If I want to take two actions, they'd each get a -3D penalty.

Am I interpreting this correctly?

Thanks. And if this is already addressed in another thread, I apologize. Also, if these questions seem stupid, I apologize for that, too. I've never played any D6 games but am trying to get some friends to give it a shot.

You have it right. If you need to commit to a reactive action like blocking the incoming attack you receive the penalty on that action and all remaining actions. If forced to react before you have acted it would effect everything you do that round.

Cool. Thanks for the quick response. The system looks pretty cool and I'm excited to give it a shot and ditch the 20's for a while.
