If you have huge collection (like me), these boxes from Chessex are the best dang things around.

They stack easily, have a space on the outside where you can write easily with a Sharpie or other permanent marker, and keep minis from breaking even if you throw the whole damn thing across the room (supposedly...this I have not tried).

Those Chessex cases make me nervous. I've seen a lot of people use them and have never seen any problems but the lack of proper latches or hinges reminds me of my gradeschool days when the pencil boxes never properly latched or the flexible plastic "hinge" broke after six months of use.

Zander, those Case Club boxes look very interesting. I couldn't see on the website--do they have proper hinges or do they depend upon a little bit of flexible plastic?

A good way to transport many small minis are these plastic cases from Bass Pro Shops:

How do the Chesex Boxes handle the 28 & 30mm Figs?

With the variety of quality figs I do not want to buy a box that will only hold 25mm figs.

I base all my minis on steel washers (mostly 25mm), or put a thin steel sheet under the base.

That way I can carry them easily in boxes with magnetic foil glued to the bottom.

Magnetic sheets, and steel sheets, are available from Magnetic Displays in England (sorry, they seem to have no website), or various miniature dealers.

The easiest way to get magnetic sheets here in Sweden has proved to be learning driver's signs, which are magnetic so that you just slap them onto the car.

I bought a Dococil case from an online shop. It's a gun case with foam inserts, and it's decent.

I think I'll just get the warhammer case next time (this one's full!), as I like the way the trays sit in the GW case better than the Dococil.

Price isn't that different on a per figure basis.

PS

I use a 3 inch binder. It hold HUNDREDS of... counters. The plastic binder sheets for slides or business cards works best...

I spend too much $ on sourcebooks to afford mini's :(

Well... you have two options. They sell boxes specifically for bigger figures (they are sold out right now at chessex), or you can get one of the other boxes, and remove the middle cardboard layer and "customize" the depth a bit.

I use the Chessex boxes myself, and just ordered two more.
