If I can get a decent discount I'll pick it up, if only for what I can add to my 3.5 game. As a miniatures game I have no interest, being heavily invested already into just about every GW line.

No, not buying. Nothing in there holds any interest for me at all (except for mass combat, and there's already at least one book out on that, with another on it's way that includes kingdom management).

Nope. The only thing I'd be interested in would be the mass combat rules. The "new" core classes don't appeal to me at all, and since I don't intend to play the miniatures game 50% of the book is useless to me (although I will pick up some minis to use in my game).

I think Cry Havoc should fill my mass combat requirements nicely.

I don't see why not. Not like WoTC is gonna send a squadron of Storm Troopers to your house to kick down your door ...

Will you be able to use that Reaper fig in League play? No. But unless that's the draw point for you, I don't see how it's a problem.
Ah. Something had given me the feeling that figure stats were on the base itself.

I'm definately curious to see what the mass combat rules are like in the book. If they're good, I'd be willing to pick it up just for those.

I have Cry Havoc, which I like. I am going to compare it with Fields of Blood and the Minis handbook.

I suspect I'll wind up with Fields of Blood, because it contains rules for governing land as well as conquering it.

Preordered it to get the Lizardfolk promo mini. He's just too cute. Neat thing is, he's fairly well painted too. Very flat, but a little drybrushing and bada-bing, he looks fantastic. I've also preordered miniatures because my gaming group (well, certain segments of said group) hate painting minis. Me and another guy are Warhammer players so enjoy it, his girlfriend is into art, so enjoys that endeavor, but my wife is far too busy to paint and two players generally don't care for how their painting comes out so... Cheap plastic minis are a great solution for most of my gaming group. I'm still purchasing and painting minis as well to supplement whatever WotC minis I end up with. Heck, Saturday I bought and painted a Reaper "Cloak Fiend" miniature that makes a fine D&D Cloaker.

Maybe. I'll thumb through it, at least.

Doubt I'll ever care much about the mass combat rules -- I like wargames with minis, but the rest of the group is apathetic at best. Oh, how I long for a game of Napoleonics or Johny Reb.

Still, I like the idea of having the rules around, just in case.

The RPG stuff will be the deciding factor for me. From the wizards.com previews, it could go either way. I like the Marshal (although it looks a bit underpowered), but thought the Dragon Samurai was lame.
