I voted no. However, if there are good mass combat rules in there for normal 3.5 D&D games, I could change my mind. Otherwise, I have no interest in playing a pure miniatures scrimmage game, especially with random packaging.

Er, yeah--I mean, didn't they call this "WarHammer"??

No way I am going to spend money in buying miniatures, ever. They might make your game much cooler, but you need a lot of them, unless you always use the same monsters in every adventure.

I was very curious to find out what's going to be in a Miniature Handbook, and I thought it would have been a stand-alone alternative player's handbook for the people who want to play exactly a miniature game and not a roleplaygame (maybe D&D with combat only?). If 50% of the book is "D&D stuff", it makes not much sense. And I am just sick and tired of "stuff" and "crunchy bits", feats, spells, prestige classes... just too many! Who gets to really use more than a couple from every book? Perhaps I just play too little, or our PCs survive too long, and we don't have chances to play so many things.

I wonder why WotC is including mass combat rules in a handbook for a game which is based on team-fighting with probably not more than 10-12 monsters per team. Where is the "mass"? Should have been perhaps in the upcoming Complete Warrior?

No. I was already boycotting them for the most part over 3.5 (Exceptions were planned for FR and the BoED) but with the d20STL changes I will not buy anything from them at all.

Well, I wasn't going to (I see no reason to support their drive to push the game back towards wargame territory and support the "you must play with minis" aspect of 3.5), but my "boycott compensation fund" may kick in. ;)
