MM2: Bebilith, low damage?

It has 4 attacks per round, each doing 2d10+6, along with a minor action every 3rd round doing 2d8 + 10 and ongoing 10 damage in a close blast 5 area. Not to mention that it his you better and better as the fight progresses (well, your ac gets worse)

I think it's fine

Plus an aura that negates your resistances so its fire attack will be more useful.

A very good point, Belphanior! I would add a bit of errata to the end of Dangersense so it reads "It can use one minor action and immediate action between each pair of turns."

Other than that I thought the bebilith looked pretty fierce! Once the melee PCs get stuck in with it, the damage starts flying.

Once again WotC caters to my needs as a DM for a paragon level party. I'm going to use this bad boy as the "guardian" of a portal to the Elemental Chaos that my 14th lvl PCs are heading to.

That is my thought as well. Danger Sense looks a lot like Tiamat's "Quintuple Actions" ability, which specifies that each head has a standard and a minor action. Possibly a typo in the copy-paste-edit?

I suspect that it has one move action and one minor action that can be used on either of its initiative counts. I also suspect that it only gets one chance to recharge per turn (as in game turns, not its own). I hope this is explained elsewhere in the MM, under some section on monsters with unusual numbers of actions. Still, there is a limit to faith. It could just be an error to be erratad the day after release.

The only beef I've got with the bebelith is its a darn slow monster initiative wise. An 18th level monster's initiative is normally much better than a 20 and 10.

Now I tell you what makes this guy scary, have a fight with the party and then bring in a horde of legion devils vs your party with AC's of 5 and 10:)

Maybe I'm just overly sensative. I want to see big damage monsters but I should probably actually run a guy like this instead of complain.

Man, I can't wait for the MM2.
