As Yesnomu said, anyone who can get Fire Resistance 10[...]
Boat Admin said:Thinks: it is an epic foe. How easy/hard is it to get resist 10 fire at epic levels?
To get out, you need to deal 30 damage... Well, that might be difficult for some.
Are they going to use the wonderful artwork of the lone traveller being surprised by the Remorhaz (the picture with the castle in the background)? I sure hope so. The art in the PDF-excerpt is very dull in comparison (and I seem to remember it from an earlier D&D-product, is it a reprint?).

Man, tieflings could LIVE inside that remorhaz. Fire resistance 5 + half-level means no damage at 10th level.Yeah, it's a reprint. I guess it's from the 3e monster manual, Sam Wood has his name on it. A good enough pic, but the OTHER one spanks the pants off it.
i'm a little bothered by the fact too that this thing does base fire damage 10 to essentially upper paragon or low epic characters, which is fairly trivial. It would be interesting to have a mechanic that negated the first 5 or 10 points of fire resistance....![]()
Yes.
The picture in the PDF is the same Sam Wood picture used for the Remorhaz since the 3e MM. While it is good, the one on the website is awesome. The only reason for not using it that I can see is space...

You'd think fire giants and fire archons would be interested in taming Remohazes. I guess they only want to use MM2 monsters in the encounter groups.
