Well, what we didn't like about him was that he was pretty blatantly telling us that the book sucked, but that he was stealing it anyway. it's like finding out that a friend is a shoplifter that only steals one doughnut, but tore open the box to get to them. He's doing a disservice to the gaming community by not buying it, but using it's contents. If he dosn't like the book, he shouldn't be using it.

Now, you apparently like the book. What's the LOWEST CR critter in that manual, and how well does it fit into the current D&D ecology?

I didn't see the big deal, I've photocopied material sometimes from my friends books too. Not a ton of monsters like he did, just tidbits here and there I would need. But I'm sure some gamers do it now and then.

I like the new monsters in the book, but the book as a whole I'd rate as average. I do believe it is not the best of the 6 monsters books (Monsters of Faerun included).

Some of these sounded interesting - Concordant Killer, Verdant Prince and the Necrosis Carnex. Can I get a brief rundown on these?

Concordant Killer is a true neutral outsider that possesses both celestial and demonic heritage. Says they love to kill powerful beings andstrongly uphold the balance. CR 19, pretty tough being. I like the picture and I could use this creature for a nice story arc and villain.

Verdant Prince is a CR 11 Fey. They're Neutral Evil and are considered the tyrants of faeriekind. They strike bargains with creatures at a price, though. In fact, one of their abilities is called Oath Bond.

Necrosis Carnex, a CR 3 undead creature composed of corpse-flesh bound together into a destructiv enegine. Deals damage with a touch attack, deals damage when it dies in an unholy burst of negative energy, has a malign aura and vulnerability to good weapons

Razz, if you're going to talk about the ethics of what you did, make a thread, but don't talk about it in this one.

Could you give us a description of what the Corruptor of Fate and Voor yugoloths look like?

And is there any mention of the Rilmani in the flavor text of the Concordant Killer? (I'm tentatively guessing a big fat 'no', but I hope to be wrong).

I'm definately going to buy this (I'm a sucker for monster books) but I was dissapointed to see yet more orcs and humanoids! Come on, we've got enough for an entire galaxy in D&D these days.

Razz,

Are the classed monsters anything more than one statblock at one level?
Is the Lolth's Sting a Ninja 4?

Thanks
