Breakfast...

Hey Mark, does Gail know about this whole breakfast thing? I'm trying to imagine her usual morning collage of local patrons mixed in with a dozen or two gamers, and frankly, it doesn't look pretty. :)

I'll drop by, but if it's a wait, I'll probably just walk over to Pinkerton's and have some soup or a sandwich (gotta use that little stamp card they gave me :)). Gail has this stare she gives to customers who just sit and talk when there are customers waiting to be seated, so don't forget to chew slowly.

This will be open for folks beyond EN Boards, so if you are here, now's the time to sign up for games before other places have the chance! ;)

Out of curiosity, who else are you (planning on) opening this up to?

With apologies to William Ronald, but please move me over to PC's Feng Shui game. Painfully and I play in our weekly D&D game - I need to see how he does without a dwarven waraxe in his hand!

If PirateCat and Eric Noah will be there, we need to start a plane ticket collection so Morrus can fly over and complete the Holy Trinity of ENworld. :)

Yeah, i thought this was just an EnBoard thing. I'm not sure if the store can handle more people. Who else is showing up? I'm afraid I may have to bow out if its some freaky Vampire convention or something. Bikini contests, however, are welcome.

Updated! :)

PC- Sounds like that's going to be a lot of fun to play! :)

Painfully- We shouldn't have any difficulty with seating at that time of the day, and by what I've seen in times past when I've been there. Don't forget, we're all out of there by five minutes to ten, so it's not like we'd be in her way very long. As you've mentioned, there are some alternate places to go as well. :)

Jack/Roland- It'll be open to gamers in the Chicago area beyond these boards, though I doubt that will gain more than a couple of handfuls of people (at the most). I'll mention it to a few friends of mine, some folks in local RPGA clubs, and Curt might drop it on a few of the regulars from his store, but that's about all I was planning to do. I hope everyone here will make an effort to invite people with which they game but may not join us on these boards regularly. :) If you've got any suggestions or thoughts on the matter, now would be a great time to bring them up. :D (Vampire players... heh heh)

Eridanis- Switched you over. That would be cool if MoRuss could also make it but I have very low expectations of that. :(

Well, smack my ass and call me Sally!

If there's a ton of Vampire people coming, I'm bringing my pepper spray...LOL :D (What, why no it's not pepper spray, Officer, it's...holy water...yeah.. that's the ticket!)

I'll mention this to my game group--other than Fayredeth, none of them really visit the boards.

And Roland... let's keep this on topic please--we want CHAINMAIL BIKINI contests, not just bikini contests...:D

For the Feng Shui, if you have a chance, also rent the movie "Remo Williams: the Adventure Begins." The first half is great, the second half lousy, but it'll give you the background for the game... and Joel Gray is AMAZING as Chiun, the Korean master of Shianju. Watching it isn't required to play the game, though!

That is actually kinda funny. Remo Williams was on HBO on Saturday morning and I made the gf sit down and watch it with me.
:D

I forgot how many awesome lines Chiun had in that movie. Of course my favorite has to be:

Remo: 'you know, chiun, sometimes you're a real pain in the @ss'
Chiun: 'that is because its the shortest path to your brain'

I will be able to make it...

How do things look as far as DM/Player balance? I could run a D&D scenario, but I'd like to play as well (especially PC's Feng Shui game).

If I get my butt in gear, I might run a d20 spy game... CoC D20 has all the weapons rules I need for a modern game. I might pick up Spycraft, too and see if anything needs merging.

Please sign me up for Trevalon's game in Slot 1 (we thespians need to stick together!) and either one of the homebrew games for the second slot.

Cool, I'd pay extra to watch a couple thespians goin' at it.

Mark, count me in as an observer. I'll tag along with Eridanis, dinkeldog, and Painfully, and come prepared to jump into any game that needs a player or a DM.
