Just curious about breakfast... Has anyone warned the place of the number of people showing up? I'm considering doing breakfast, but want to make sure that it will go smoothly...

Breakfast will not go smoothly. :D

The place is tiny. The list of people signing up for "Slot 0" is large (compared to the facility). They don't take reservations, so it's catch as catch can. Look for gamer sign, and try to get there early. Last time, I was a little late, so I sat at the counter. Food was good, but people were waiting a long time for tables.

I'm going to switch the "official" breakfast place to "Little America" which is #6 on the map I created for the last gameday and accessed through the above link. It has plenty of room. I still suggest that people park in the train station parking area along the tracks so that they don't have to move their cars later or get a ticket by using the street parking near the store (there's a two hour time limit on the street). It's just a couple of blocks walk to Little America and walking to the store is no more difficult from there.

*edit* I'd also like to thank everyone for their help and patience while I've tried to smooth out the schedule of games over the last couple of days. My intent is to ensure that everyone who is coming will have a fun time while at our second big gameday. I know I will! :) *end edit*

All right! Now there'll be plenty of room at Gail's Old Carriage Pancake House of No Seating! :p

[edit - fix typo]

TO ALL OF MY OF SOUND MIND PLAYERS!

To any and all persons playing in my Of Sound Mind game, please confim what classes you'd like to play. I'll be rolling up characters once school is out, so try and figure out the situation ASAP!

Here's the current--as of 6-14-02 12:51 P.M. , central daylight time--list of who's playing what. Question marks indicate that the person taking the character is open to playing different classes.

Bbn: Roland Delacroix (bloodthirsty dwarf barbian---should be fun)
Brd:
Clr:
Drd:
Ftr:
Mnk:
Pal:
Ran:
Rog:
Sor:
Wiz:
Psion: Eridanis
Pyschic Warrior: Darkness8Me

P.S. I'm too lazy to get up and look--are these the right abbreviations for character classes?

OSM in the shadow of PirateCat

Put me down for a cleric, bard, or psion, whatever works out best for party balance.

CoC d20?

Mark:

Could you mark me down for the last seat? I promise to not chat you up about comics.

Barendd Nobeard:

Will you be providing characters? I have the game, but haven't played.

Thanks,
Matt Helms

Your call. We can work together to create one (I provide a few rules and you do almost all the work), or I can just make one up and give it to you at the Gameday. So far, we have players working on a Parapsychologist, a police Detective, an Antiquarian, and a Dilettante. I'll tailor details of the game around the characters, so play whatever profession you want. Duplicate professions are fine.

You haven't played yet--no problem. It's set in contemporary times, so it should be pretty easy to get into it. And it's just a one-shot. What's the worst that could happen? :D

I have a writer character, who could be just the kind of person to show up at Milwaukeefest, or wherever your game is set. When you said you were looking for experienced characters, I wasn't sure if a new Level 1 character would be okay.

Since the game is a one-shot, I look forward to seeing my character's body and mind destroyed. :)

Later,
Matt

Matt:

I'll send you an email about the game. Hope you join in the mayhem....uh, fun! :D
