Mok Nathal: Halforc-halfogre

Silly me thought one of those was around there somewhere as template... till some nice buddies here knocked me on the head and filled some truth inside.

So the question is (bordering on houserules): Is a MokNathal in the Warcraft thingy or would it be better if Pcat kicks me towards the Houserules area for my Rexxar build?

Orogs have been turned into a separate subspecies of orcs (aka "deep orcs"), and are no longer halfbreeds. They are described in Races of Faerun.

'Course for campaign flavor, you can take the write up of the orog out of Races of Faerun & call em half breeds :) :)

Aren't Half-Orcs / Half-Ogres called Orogs? Aren't they detailed somewhere?

AR

don't forget about the ogrillan (sp) ...not sure if they updated it for 3x besides the Tome of Horrors (which is excellent btw)

The Mok'nathal from Warcraft is not in any of the books to date, and from what I've heard likely won't be appearing in the future ones. Rexxar is pretty much the only one in the whole series anyways (that I know of, at least), so they're not really leaving out much. Although I suppose that doesn't help you. ;) I'd say start with the half-ogre from savage species... shouldn't take much tweaking.

My halforc-halfogre

Here is my personal version of the half-orc/half-ogre I created for my gameworld.

I started out by using the half-ogre template from Dragon (can't remember which issue, sometime last autumn or summer?), but then made changes since the result with the template would simply have been stupid.

Half-ogre (half-orc/half-ogre)
* +8 Str, -2 Dex, +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Wis, -4 Cha
* Large: -1 size penalty to AC, -1 size penalty to attack rolls, - 4 size penalty to Hide checks, + 4 bonus on grapple checks, can carry or lift twice as much as a Medium character
* Space/Reach 10 feet/10 feet
* Half-orc/Half-ogres have base speed 40 feet.
* Darkvision: Half-orcs/half-ogres have Darkvision 60 feet.
* Racial Hit Dice: Half-orc/half-ogre start with two giant levels, these give him 2d8 hp, +1 BAB and the following base saving throw modifiers: Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +0.
* Racial skills: A half-orc/half-ogre's giant levels give him 5 × (2+ Int modifier, minimum 1) skill points. His class skills are Climb, Listen and Spot.
* Racial feats: The half-orc/half-ogre's giant levels give him one feat.
* Weapon and Armor Proficiency: All half-orc/half-ogres are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light and medium armor, and with shields.
* +3 natural armor bonus
* Automatic Languages: Orc, Giant, Common. Bonus Languages: Goblin.
* Favores class: Barbarian
* Level Adjustment: +2
