High orcs were originally no more than brutal savages like most of their kind, but long ago when Dragons still ruled and the Elves were simply another type of humanoid, a massive group of orcs assembled (the first horde). They went rampant smashing the countryside, and most everyone else that lived there into dust. They were unstoppable until they encoutered a sect of Hidecarved dragon Monks the horde was decimated by the martial might, and draconic fury of the sect. The 600-700 survivors were so awed by the power of the draconic martial arts they begged to learn those secrets. In exchange they and their descendants would no longer be a force of rampant unthinking destruction in the world. The dragons taught the orcs the secrets of their arts, and the orcs never forgot either the secrets or the promise. The entire race has trained in seclusion since that time, and only now millions of generations later they are begining to interact with the world again.

high orcs are about the size and weight of half orcs, tending to be a little leaner. They have none of the orcish sloping brow. Their skin is pearl grey with darker patches on the hands and feat. eyes range from brown to yellow, the hair is usually shaved from the head, but those that do have hair, usually have black manes of the stuff.

High orcs are a bit disdainful of other Mountain orcs considering them unthinking brutes (mountain orcs can't catch a break from anybody it seems), Grey orcs are to be treated catiously for while smarter than mountain orcs they are still violent and difficult to predict. High orcs respect the might, magic, and cunning of the Orog (Deep Orcs), but secretly laugh at their reliance on weapons when the best weapon is your own body, as evident when a high orc master snaps in half the powerful magic weapons of the orog champion and proceeds to do the sam to his armor, sheild, and other gear. Humans are weak, elves more so, halflings are cunning people to be respected, Gnomes are tough but a little silly. Surprisingly dwarves and High orcs get along fine both are militant, disciplined, and think themselves the best warriors in the world. A High Orc and a Dwarf who become friends will tell in great detail all the times when they pulled the others behind out of danger and how many of what they killed doing it. Any dragon or creature of dragon descent (half-dragons, draconic creatures, etc.) is to be treated with the highest regard, and protected in times of need (unless they have made themselves into a menace) of course this rule only applies to dragons that have not made enemies of the high orc (personally or as a race).

High orcs live in monastaries carved into the mouths of cave or in the villages around them

High orcs are almost always lawful, sometimes nuetral, and almost never chaotic, they tend towards neutrality on the good/evil axis, with good bieng slightly more prevelant than evil because of the strictures against wanton destruction.

When the High Orcs fight they prefer to stun or grapple opponents then break weapons armor and gear. They have few qualms about breaking people and objects that stand in their way as long as its actually obstructing their goal.

Thats all for now what do think about balance, flavor, or whatever I just want some feed back on these guys

They look balanced. If anything, I think they're weak for an ECL +1 race.

Personally, I'd drop the speed increase (since monks already have that in spades, and there's no point in making it worse than it already is) and give them something in exchange--since they seem to be on the weak side of their LA. Maybe Blind-Fight? I'm picturing blindfolded orcs training their other senses... it wouldn't be too strong, since they already have darkvision, but it would help vs. concealment.

I'm a little wary of the stat bonuses but no penalty to go along. I can easily see a -2 Cha and -2Int to another stat and making them 0ecl, along with the speed reduction.

well i dont want to make them to much like grey orcs with penalties to int and cha but i like the blind-fight idea more in line with the draconic inspired martial arts
