"Tractor."
Must be another one of those funny British spellings for "Ox and Plow."

This is why I can't speculate about why Mongoose refused to disclose who their printers are in China, a country with an appalling labour rights record. I can't ask you to find out more about what exactly was involved in the creation of the Conan RPG, and why that might be relevant to a discussion of the company's reputation. I can't give you my honest opinion why about a dozen noted freelancers and creatives have either congratulated me for . . . less reticent . . . statements about MGP in the past, or ensured I had nothing to do with them before agreeing to work or speak with me. I can't tell you about widespread reaction to their offer of a penny a word on an industry list, or the opinions past employees of White Wolf and Decipher have had of their salary offers for full time employees, or the . . . candid . . . recollections creatives working for MGP have shared, partricularly regarding editorial competence and managerial ethics.
Naturally, nothing I have said here should be seen as implying anything in particular.

Not being an industry writer I wouldn't know, but it seems to me that if a writer finds the offer unreasonable they can just decline to write for the company. It's quite obvious that you have an axe to grind and this isn't the place for it friend. But I'll offer you a beer at my favorite tavern and tell you about this wench I met if we can drop the subject...eyebeams said:I think offering a penny a word on an industry list is in poor taste, myself. As is asking for large submissions on spec. I'm not necessarily talking about MGP.
