[Mongoose] Quintessential Paladin?

Chevalric

First Post
Hi,

I was wondering if Mongoose will be making a Quintessential Paladin book. It hasn't been announced yet on the Mongoose website, so I thought I'd ask here :)

TIA,
Chevalric

I asked Matt about this same thing. His answer was "Early in 2003" as an estimate. Matt, confirm or deny this for me please! :)

I think it's been pretty much confirmed that ALL of the core classes and races would eventually be covered (including Psion and Psychic Warrior), and a few new ones added in for flavor.

They just need to get good submissions before putting anything on the official schedule.

Personally, Bard, Druid and Psychic Warrior are the ones on my "can't wait for" list..

They should also do HUMAN and the NPC classes.. but I may be in the minority...

Psychic Warrior!

NPC Classes? Now this is something I've enjoyed in some otherbooks as there are PrCs meant mostly for NPC use such as the Feral Ravager and the Corpulent from Librum Equitis. Or do you mean weaker (or stronger) classes like Expert, Commoner, etc...

Nightfall: The Quintessential Paladin will indeed be early 2003.

Thundershot: Bard, Druid and Psychic Warrior are all out this year, so you won't have to wait long!

Joe & Bondetemp: Funny you should mention NPC Classes. The Quintessential Expert is about 50% complete and, I promise, will certaiknly make people think twice about taking the class for their characters. This book is going to be somewhat more than Sages & Specialists :)

Hey, I liked Sages & Specialists. I thought the underpowered classes there provided some depth and focus to the game world while at the same time crafting classes most PCs wouldn't want to play. Although I suppose most of those old classes could just be experts now...

Well, that is the kind of direction we want to go - with The Quintessential Expert, this class becomes a lot 'more' than that in the DMG, plus while still not quite there in terms of balance with Fighters et al, it can become a viable option for a player. We are already well aware of several players who use the Expert class 'as is'. This will make them a lot more flexible and capable. Plus take the Expert class in directions that may not seem immediatly apparent. . .

Looks like someone's trying to take my name... :)

Anyway, can you give us an idea of what books Quinessential books are being worked on, and what are up for grabs (as far as writing them goes).

Thanks.
