More like Str matters less with lots of hits, a high Wis, and good teamwork. Then you do not always have to rely on your own raw damage output to dispatch enemies.

Comparable is not so much the issue. It is getting the hits, so that dangerous foes are forced to roll Fort saves against Stun.

A Monk that lacks good teamwork in his party must kill things herself. This is significantly harder without a good Str.

Grappling and Tripping are great ways to set up your teammates too, and, in my experience, more reliable ways to help out than hoping for a lucky stun. Both use STR.

Another fun Monk build focuses on being a stat drainer.

Monk 6/Tattooed Monk 3/anything else (Swordsage Works well)

Feats: Rattlesnake Strike, Extra Stunning, Weakening Strike, and Rapid Stunning (x2)

The idea is to stack Rattlesnake Strike with the Spider Tattoo and drain 3-5 points of Constitution each strike, followed by a -6 to Strength from Weakening Strike. With Rapid Stunning twice, you can burn three Stun attempts in one round on a flurry and inflict -6 Strength and between 6-10 Constitution damage.

Granted, this build sucks against constructs, undead, or anything else that is immune to ability damage.

Interesting build. Where is the Rattlesnake Strike feat from?

Well, I'm limited to what's in the core books, so none of the fancy stuff :)

Here is my Monk-

4 level (started out higher as group has been playing for a while)

Str- 12 Dex-14 Con-13 Int-10 Wis-16 Cha-8

(stats in this game are not rolled, every character starts with same stats)

I took a
Quarterstaff and Sling

Feats- Dodge, Mobility, Cobat Reflexes, Improved Grapple, Iron Will, Deflect Arrows, Improved Unarmed Strike, Stealthy

Wound up with 29 Hit Points and a 15 AC

Opinions? Suggestions? Constructive Crit?

Don't play your monk as a melee-capable class. With a 15AC, that 30 HP is gonna go away really fast, even vs. CR4 monsters.

And of course, even if you get into combat, your damage output is rather, well, pitiful with a str=12.

To be blunt, only enter combat if you are fighting defensively or have a huge defensive advantage of some sort. Otherwise, wait for your chance: perhaps help to flank and hit once and step back... wait and grapple a weak monster... etc.

Well, the character isn't written in stone, so I am looking for any tips as far as different feats I should take or moving around my stats.....

But, yeah 29 HP goes quick :)

Ouch.

Could you change the ability scores around? If so, then do this:
Str 16
Dex 12
Con 13
Int 10
Wis 14
Cha 8

What race are you? With these ability scores, I'd strongly consider half-orc.

I've marked the feats. Looks like you have too many!

Nix the stealthy, IMO. Not worth it-- you have precious few feats as it is.

Combat Reflexes is really only good for PCs with reach weapons, IMO.

Defect Arrows is, IME, lame.

Iron Will is superfluous to the Mnk: he'll have great Will saves. You don't need it.

What kind of Mnk are you trying to build here?

Well, the guy is a Human. This is my 1st Monk and is my 1st character using the 3.5 rules (played AD&D for a long time back in the day). That's the reason I am here looking for tips ;)

And, yeah, I could do him as a half- orc. Hadn't thought of that.....
