Monks, Amulets, and Bracers

Okay -- I'm looking for some opinions on this matter.

I have a player (his character is a monk) looking to use the Arms and Equipment Guide's material for adding special armor modifications to Bracers of Armor. I don't think this is out of line.

He's also interested in Bracers of Striking for special attack modifications. Obviously he can't have both without the item quickly becoming a minor artifact or an epic wondrous item.

He throw out the idea of the Amulet of Mighty Fists because it's incredibly expensive. He brought it up too (I didn't), but dismissed it after serious consideration. Now -- in Savage Species, there is an item call Amulet of Natural Weapons that enhances natural weapon attacks....

AFTER ALL THAT SET-UP, here is the question:
Would it be a bad idea to consider a monk's unarmed attacks as "natural" weapons for the purpose of an Amulet of Natural Weapons? If not, how many "natural" weapons does a monk have for using this item?

Rules Forum, here we come...

The monk unarmed attacks are considered natural weapons, and that's why having a Druid to cast (Greater) Magic Fang in the party rocks your monk out. I don't have SS so I can't look that item up, but if it adds bonuses to your natural attacks, I would think it works for your monk.

As for the second part, I don't know that one. I would venture that one could tie his "number" of natural weapons for the purposes of the item to the number of iterative attacks he has. Pure speculation, as I still don't have SS despite the few seconds that have elapsed since answering the first part. :)

No it would not be a bad idea and I think actually that is the way it is supposed to be, as for how many natural weapon hands and feet seem to be the correct answer.

The thing about the monk, is though he uses his hands feat, and elbows, knees, head, forearms, etc. What he is using at any given time is never really clearly defined, the designers left it vague, instead of giving the monk an attack routine like a monster where what they are attacking with is clearly defined.

Personally I'm inclined to cut the monk a break and consider their body a natural weapon, one natural weapon because it keeps with the vagueness already inherent to the rules concerning the monk. Otherwise one of two things happens, you have the sillyness that the monk starts using only one limb when they have a spell like greater natural weapon cast on them, or you have to determine what strike uses what limb, which is outside of the rules as written.

And yet, if one allows the monk to enhance all his weapons with the Amulet of Natural Weapons ala SS, where does that leave the Amulet of Mighty Fists?
