So... basically if a Monk can reduce the damage from a missile to 0 or less, the monk can catch the missile and throw it back as a monk weapon, with all relevant proficiencies and damage dice adjusting accordingly. i.e a dagger's d4 damage die could go up to d6, or even d10. and even if they were not proficient in a Longbow, can throw the arrow back with proficiency bonuses.
So here's my question.
What if the Arrow was magical? +1 modifier, with Cold/Fire damage stacked above the initial strike damage.
Does the damage dealt change to reflect the Monk's Martial Arts die? And keep the magic bonuses?
One step more mundane. Can a monk catch a flung flask of Alchemist Fire, throw it back (dealing impact damage) and also gain the benefit of the item's burning effect?
What do you guys think?
