Monster Manual 2: Missing Creatures

Well, web enhancement or not, you never know. Looking at WotC's "Monster Manual" concept art in their online art gallery, you can spot several creatures that were apparently cut from the the MM, too, but that later made it into other products. Examples include the catoblepas, intellect devourer, twig blight, and githyanki. (You can also see that the concept that developed into the ethereal marauder was at one time intended for a role very similar to the darkmantle instead).

I suspect that if enough people bother WotC about the missing monsters, they will eventually come out with a web enhancement of the missing monsters.
