D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual 2 or Player's Handbook 2?

I'm just curious. Leaving behind other kind of books like supplements or campaigns settings...
Do you guys prefer a Monster Manual 2 or a Player's Handbook 2?
Personally I prefer a PH2.

MM2 definitely. I really don't want 5e to bloat into the monstrosity 3.5, and to a lesser extent, 4e was. We'll get more PC options with each adventure arc WotC does, but a big, beautiful book of monsters? I'll take that every freakin' time over a bunch of PC options!

MM2. Only option.

PC options are perfectly doable through various supplements and/or campaign and/or race specific books.

Anything that wasn't important enough to make the PHB[1], quite obviously, does not need/is not important enough to be in a PHB.

The whole concept of serial PHBs brought on by...from what I can tell, the edition immediately prior to 5e...can die in the fire from whence it was surely created.

I'm all about more PC options. I would rather they come from a big, shiny new PHB than in dribs and drabs from a bunch of setting and adventure books. I DM, but I feel like with bounded accuracy, I can get way more mileage out of the current MM than anything in the past. Plus, with proper monster creation rules in the DMG, I doubt I'll have a strong need for another book full of monsters.

MM2, all the way.

You can easily have too many races or classes for a campaign, but you really pretty much can't ever have enough monsters.

Neither. ;) Both end up being full of stuff I'll only rarely, if ever use, as the core PHB and MM already have a ton of material in them. I would like to see campaign setting specific options books for both critters and characters, though. In other words, a Forgotten Realms book of backgrounds, spells, feats, and subclasses (no new classes) and a Forgotten Realms, dare I say it, monstrous compendium. ;) And then a Dark Sun player option book and MC, and Dragonlance, and Mystara, etc, etc.

But, not generic PHB2 or MM2. Those, to me, end up being bland and boring.
