From the Manual of the Planes, inevitables are the constructs that keep the universal laws enforced. Sort of planar cops, there are many types with different 'beats'.

One thing about 3.5 I'm very disappointed in- they kept the tojanida around. I was hoping it would vanish like a bad dream.

Without the tojanida, the giant anemone forests would overtake the seascape, in my undersea campaign.

<sigh> While there's some new good stuff (mostly by Wayne Reynolds) there were a few pieces they replaced that I liked, and plenty that they didn't replace that I don't like.

WHY GOD WHY? They left in the malnourished displacer beast! I mean.. it looks like Cheetor from Beast Machines for cryin' out loud! I thought, of all creatures, we'd get a new pic of the displacer beast... It doesn't even match its description!

Ah well... (and I do miss the old Nymph pic..)

Do you mean the picture? Because it's the same picture as in the 3.0 MM.

Yeah, I mean new as opposed to 2e and earlier displacer beasts. The d20 Modern illustration of one, where's he's eating the Santa Claus in some backalleyway, is my favorite illo of the beastie to date.
