D&D (2024) Monster Manual Organisation

ok so demons and dragons are grouped up in an index? If that's the case, that's not as concerning then.
Yup, the indices are actually quite good. There is an Index for Environment ("quick, what is in the desert?!?"), an Index by CR, an Index by Creature Type, and then an Index by "family" (so it lists out Chromotic Dragons, Goblinoids, Metallic Dragpns, Genies, Demons, Devils, Yugoloths, etc).

Another thing to consider, there are a lot of unaffiliated Fiends (Gnolls, Sahuagin, Incubus, Succubus, some others) and non-True Dragons in the book.

The issue is the lack of the common lore, the other stuff I could get used to over time, even if I hate it now.

The yugoloth is the perfect example.

I prefer how flee mortals did it.

While I agree "Devil, Vrock" would solve that particular issue, I still think the monster lists in the index are good to have.
I do not disagree with the lists. I just think they are not as accessible as better organization that also promotes a tighter TOC.

It feels like they did not care because people will use an e-version.
