Well, I'm not the DM, I was just cuious about it as a player. The DM is allowing it, the rest of the party is a wizard, a druid, and an icarnum, so the average tier of the group is farily high to begin with.

The DM is making a terrible mistake. Seriously... Once the Flayer reaches a certain level his response will be either "I cast Charm Monster" or "I stun everything".

Once he hits lvl 15 his best bet is almost to become a Warlock.


However, for straight up "tier" I'd say the Mind Flayer class is equivalent to a Bard.
