And I definitely want to use 2 if not 3 of Knight Otu’s originals – I think having the originals in there is part of what got this article chosen first.

That, and the fact that the ulitharid and draknor were created by James Jacobs couldn't have hurt.

I voted for illithidae, draknor, voor larva and yaggol, but I'd like to put in a word of warning. The aberrations book is coming out next month, and it's sure to be full of illithid-related monsters. I'd bet money, for example, that the ulitharid will be in there, as will probably the urophion and a lot of the others from old Dragons and Spelljammer.

So I'd suggest waiting a month until Lords of Madness comes out, see what's covered there, then submit the proposal.

I voted but where is the neolithid? Being the real form of the illithid, I would think they warrent mention.

The neothelid is found in the Expanded Psionics Handbook.

sorry for the delay on getting started on this - it's a combination of factors. i'm 1) really stupid busy at work, 2) waiting to see what kind of a response i get, if any, to my response to the paizo staff's initial e-mail, and 3) trying to finish up my work for MG: Forests.

here's the deal, unless paizo has different ideas about which monsters i can and cannot use. the current "top 8" according to the poll actually make a really good set, i think. that means, in other words, the Ulitharid, Illithidae, Urophion, Nerve Swimmer, Illithocyte, Draknor, Brainstealer Dragon, and Mind Worm. the other monsters will get a mention if i can work it in there, but there is limited space - sorry, but not everything can make the cut.
