I'd like more varied encounter role critters to mix in. The 5E MM seems very heavy on "high hit point melee foes" and very light on anything else. Let's have some corporeal undead with ranged attacks, some controllers in the CR 1/2 - 2 range, and more critters with interesting powers generally besides a melee attack and a bag of hit points.
