Monstreous cohort suggestion needed

First Post
I need to know what you would suggest as a cohort for this PC:

Dargoth
Lawful Evil
Male Dwarf/Lich
lvl 11 (and I can attract a lvl 10 cohort)
Lead priest of the temple of Hextor

Thanks in advance for your suggestion

dwarven fighter7/blackguard 3

appretince wizard 6 (necromancers) and his two 2nd level sorcerers

10 level cleric with domains in death and magic. (Thus he could be a servant of Wee Jas working with Hextor's church.) LN.

A 7th level cleric/3rd level warpriest of Hextor

A 6th level wizard/4 level acoylete of the skin.

Those are good ideas .. If I don't find a good monster as a cohort I may take one of those as my cohort...

Thanks...

Oh you wanted MONSTERS! :) Well that's different! ;) I just thought since you wanted a cohort you wanted a humaniod type, not a monster! :)

I can think of a couple of ideas:

#1)
Create a bevy of Dwarf Maidens sacrificed to keep your dwarf lich/lord company as undead consorts throughout eternity. Over the Aeons he's forgotten about them, of course, and they've been left to haunt a disused wing of his lair.

The strain of being undead for many long years has driven them all insane, bitter and hateful of living things. You could even throw in an elven banshee who he killed and turned into an undead servant out of amusement. If the PCs kill and release the souls of these undead, they might be able to help them with a couple of clues about their foe's history and/or weaknesses (they were once good, and hate him for enslaving them).

#2)
A twisted and evil Dwarven cleric/aristocrat who serves as his eyes and ears in the court of the current reigning dwarven lord. Nobody suspects that this wizened advisor is actually a servant of the evil lich lord. Kind of like Grima Wormtongue from the Two Towers, only short and with a beard.

#3)
An automaton of a grizzled dwarven veteran. He should be majorly skilled at melee combat. The lich can inhabit this automaton as an "alter ego" to allow him to travel through the outside world. Only a learned sage could recognize this creature as a "clone" of the lich, as the physical form resembles the lich ages ago when he was still alive. The concept here is similar to the "Kananga & Mr. Big" relationship in the Bond movie Live & Let Die, where the villain Kananga disguises himself as his own henchman, Mr. Big to divert attention from his nefarious plot to control the world's drug trade.

No prob ... I will surely end p with humanoid anyway... as I don't really need a bodyguard... I already mindcontrolled a halforc quite able to defend me... my half-dragon wizard ally can handle hand to hand pretty well... but can die quite fast againt a high damaging foe...

anyway ... let the idea flow

1. How about a type of devil of equal ECL. He could be a gift from a stronger duke of hell, who feel syou have potential as an ally. and this devil could also be an ingame hitch to keep a DM's eye on your character aswell. Maybe a Kyton, or a Barbazu. Not sure of the exact ECL on them. Anyone know?

2. Elemental's make good cohort's. Immune to citicals. and earth's hit really hard.

3. How about a Manticore. Nasty attacks, and a good mount to.

4. How about a Fiendish or Half Fiend Owl Bear

5. A Shadow, with pumped hit dice?

6. The ghost of a fallen necromancer, who seeks revenge in death, and see's you as a good ally in his quest.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea. So many possibilities.

Well.. Voobaha ... it would be great if the lich would be against teh PC. ... but has it is a PC and he recently turned himself in a lich .. some idea don't work

Valicor ... thanks great idea... but as you let it know in the first idea ... to figure out the lvl is the problme...

There is a good web-page that a person from these boards made a ECL conversion's list of abilities for. It was awhile ago and cna't find the book mark. I'm sure somone knows what I am tralking about? I'm calling on you Lurkers to help me out here please.

Also had afew more ideas.

7. a Lamia. Pg 126-127. These enjoy spreading evil, and have a wisdom draining attack. This can really take down rival clerics for you.

8. How about a Mind Flayer. Unlikely allies, need eahc other out of nessesity. Both struggle for dominance, Though you always seems ot have the upper hand, and tolerate him, because of the recourses he has at beckon call.
