Monte Cook's - Temple of Mysteries

Has anyone run in this yet?

My gaming group (there are nine of us) ran it in two groups of 4 with the same GM. The first group (I ran in this one) had one person make it out alive and the second group was a TPK. It was a blast to play as a one shot. But has anyone had the same results of near to full blown TPK's ?

When I ran it, the first time I think 3 of the 6 got out of the dungeon, and the second time I think 1 character did, if I'm remembering correctly.

It's very intentionally Tomb of Horrors-esque in that it's more about the experience than the victory, and that only really smart players (with a bit of luck) are going to succeed. One of the great things about ToH is that you feel really good if you make it out alive, but if you don't, you don't feel too bad because it's SO hard and it was still fun. I tried to capture that feel with Temple of Mysteries.

(And all the money goes to Tsunami relief. We've already raised over $2,000--thanks for that, and here's hoping more people will help!)

Hmm, this sounds very cool. I've actually been looking for some one-shot adventures to run on off-nights. Can this module be run in a 4-5 hour slot? I also like the fact that there are pregen'ed characters and printable battlemats. Very cool.

We ran it in our normal 4-5 hour gaming night. It was very fun. My character missed getting out with the Artifact by one balance check at the end! Well make that two, my luck domain gave me a reroll and I failed that too! :D
