Monte's Sorceror Variant

It will happen eventually so I thought I would kick it off (I am sure it already has):

So does Monte's Sorceror represent a balanced alternative to the existing Sorceror (I am not syaing whether it should or not as this is a seperate argument).

The benefits are:

1. More skill points
2. More hit points
3. Few extra class skills

The detriments are:

1. A more limited spell list (Wizards can cast all Arcane Spells so Sorceror's suffer from a more limited use of wands and scrolls).
2. Some spells have been increased in level amking them even harder for Sorceror's to get.

Did I miss anything?

Thoughts?

I think it works. At first look at least.

Here is my big question.

Why does the spells known table have them gaining spells known of the next level one level before the spells/day table says they can cast them?

That is a really good question. Oops, someone made a boo-boo.

Yup you need to buy BOEM2. However on the up side you get a Bard Variant that is more interesting than either Monte's Sorceror Ranger Variants.

Plus I loved the idea of Soul Magic. I am just trying to work out how to make Soul Magic more common and normal magic less common whilst combining it with idea from Wild Spellcraft.

Call me a fan of Terry Pratchett's Colour of Magic but I love the idea of sentient spells :)
