Morale

Morale is about how many battles you can slog through in a day before you have to take a breather. Morale is about getting back up when the chips are down. Morale is about perseverence.

...in other words, Morale is Healing Surges.

So what do you think of this idea?

Reskin Healing Surges as Morale Points.
The number of Morale Points you get in a day is determined not by your Constitution, but by your Charisma modifier.

Your thoughts?

hmm.. that's ceirtainly an interesting twist. Not sure about the implications though, but I really like the sound of "morale" over "healing surges" (a name wich always felt forced on me. :p).

But instead, how about you determine Morale by adding your Charisma OR Constitution modifier, wichever is highest? Just like you do for Defenses. This way, in order to get through the day, you can rely on the strenght of your conviction, the purpose of your mission, or on your "manliness". ;)

Of course. :)

It also kinda helps, I feel, to de-abstractify the Warlord a bit and make the class a little more flavorful. The Warlord gets powers that activate morale. Makes sense.
