Just FYI, Curse of the Demon was based on "Casting the Runes" by M.R. James.

Actually, I do have that Montague James story, in an anthology titled Tales of the Occult, the cover of which has a character with a striking likeness to Karswell as portrayed in the movie. I merely mentioned the movie as it has several elements that fit nicely into a Call of Cthulhu game, the curse itself, the runes, madness, secret society, freaky clannish people with runes on their door. Another movie I mentioned, The Devil Rides Out, is a Hammer movie with similar themes and tones that fit seamlessly into a Lovecraftian world.
