Pre-orders are live for the upcoming Forgotten Realms books, with one D&D Beyond listing providing some new details about digital DLC released alongside the books. Posted today on D&D Beyond, the "Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle" will include three digital expansions - Astarion's Book of Hungers, Netheril's Fall, and a third "secret" expansion to be named later. The digital expansions will be gradually released over a three week period. Astarion's Book of Hungers will include new player options, while Netheril's Fall will be an adventure book of some kind. Page count is not available, but currently the only way to get these three digital expansions will be through buying the "Ultimate Bundle," which has a whopping price point of $159.99 and includes both physical and digital versions of the other Forgotten Realms books.

What (little) information we know was provided by D&D Beyond and can be seen below:

  • Astarion’s Book of Hungers: a digital expansion where players can indulge in their vampire desires with new player options, monsters, and adventure content – all shared by Astarion himself! | Release Date: November 11, 2025
  • Netheril’s Fall: a digital expansion where players can explore the lost Netherese Empire in a time traveling adventure | Release Date: November 18, 2025
  • A secret third digital expansion – to be revealed soon! | Release Date: November 25, 2025

Hmmm I wonder which seven species will appear in The dlc.

So far we have Dhampir. Hmmm, Aaracokra and Tabaxi? (If that's Themberchaud the cartoon gang is fighting, then Birbs and Cat people make sense due to them appearing in the movie and JARNATHAN!!)

Let's see...Kuo-Toa and Myconoids(BG3). That's five so far in a hypothetical scenario. Oh, Goblins. Changelings would make sense since Forge of the Artificer is in December now, even if it's an overlap.

Well, naturally can't break tradition. Has to be seven different Elven variants so we can have the option for said Mutt-Elf variants.
Oh wait: Drow.

Ya can't have evil Drow WITHOUT the OPTION to play as a good one for all the Drizzt fans so that's gonna be my serious guess:

Dhampir, Drow, Aaracokra, Tabaxi, Kuo-Toa, Myconoids, Goblins, Changelings.

Also, Drow should appear as Monster Statblocks on the FR books since it's a campaign setting and WotC already confirmed they were on previous articles. Maybe we get Half species back as player races since they feature prominently in FR (Half-Elf, Half-Orc, etc)

By logical deduction, since they revealed in the bundle details that the whole bundle will have 8 Species, we now know from this that the third DLC will have 7 Species options.
A lot of people have speculated that updated Genasi will be in there. If so, I wonder if they're going to be broken up into four different entries? Elves and Tieflings have different sub-types in Revised, but at least in MotM the different Genasi types had a lot more variation than them.

True tho, which would explain why I had 8 choices up there and makes it 7 once more! (Also, ya, I'll admit I completely forgot they were in there).

Given Dragonbait is in AoF &/or HoF and that Saurials are very linked to the Forgotten Realms, I'll be very surprised if they are not one of the seven. Plus people love Dinosaurs as the Jurassic movies shows.

Everything except 7 species went to the other DLCs, so I'm inclined to think that us the theme of the DLC, maybe Dragonbait's Species of the Faerun, BUT that just doesn't explain the delay on revealing more info on the last DLC or what the soon event will be. This feels like the last great mystery of the bundles.

I like that Fall of Netheril seems to not just an adventure, but a mini setting in it's own right.

I hope the Vampire feats are stronger, but with a downside. 18 feats seem like alot when they are tied to just Vampires.

The Netheril one definitely sounds more like a mini-setting than just a plain adventure.

I'll be bet dollars to donuts that genasi are one ( four?) of them. They need an update even against MotM and played an important role in Calimshan. Either they will bring them back as four specific species or one species with four legacies like tieflings.

Suspect it will be 1 species 4 or more legacies, but I agree they are one of the most important species to the Forgotten Realms, especially since 4e made them a major Abeir race as well.

Tabaxi I think are more important to Maztica then Faerun, but FR is their origin so maybe. I think other MoM races won't be in it, because they don't want it to be all rehashes.

For brand new Species I think we could see Saurials, Shades, Wemics, Loxo, Abbalayar, Alaghi (more peaceful cousins of Yeti), Chitine (humaniod spiderfolk), Gloaming, Elan, Killiren (plant folk), Yurian (Crabfolk). Hexborn/Hagspawn and Reborn are possible. Some of them, not all of them.
