Overcome with pedantry, I went to the dictionary, as these are real words (as opposed to those made up for the game, the ones that really confuse people ) .

The results were:

Paladin = PAL-uh-din
Wyvern = WHY-vern
Chimera = kye-MERE-uh
Lich = "ch" as in witch

I had always used Wyvern as "whivvern", but I guess I was wrong

Now it's time for them to put drow, baatezu and the rest in the bloody dictionary so we can look them up!

"LICH" just sounds cheesy to me, just like "DRAOW."

While you'd be correct if you were speaking Old English, the word more properly comes from the Middle English word for "corpse", lyche or lich. It has a "ch" sound, not a "k" sound.

It may sound cheesy, but that's how it is.

My dictionary had KI-mera or alternatively KIM-era. The latter is how I say it. Although the pronunciation guide is fairly rough and I could be reading it wrong.
