Morrus Goes Boating in Oxford

did you ever notice some people cannot leave the house for milk and bread wihtout it turning into an adventure?

some people can live on a volcanoes rim raising tigers and rabbits for years with nary a story to tell, while others can write a comedic epic on the adventures they had weeding the carrot patch.

~sigh~ You have no idea Sir, His Lordship is a bit of a klutz and a slob and the messes I had to cleanup after him after the Royal game nights would have (& did) make the Arch-Bishop cry ! Now I hope that Lady Jane has made him a wee bit neater ( I hope).

Did Your Lordship remember his Dramamine and sun block this time ? O sometimes I wish I had never returned to WoTC and was still the Major-Domo at Rogue Manor to take care of the dear man !

My going away package to you will be in London in the next few days Sir, PLEASE don't drive yourself this time thats what chauffeurs are for( the repair bill for the Rolls from last time he drove it  )

With much respect and love Nebin

PS Remember one day at a time Sir ! and TRY to get a haircut before GenCon this year !......Neb

Here's a question for you Oxfordians . . . is Chutney's still there? For that matter, does the Kebab Kid still have a store front over on Glouchester Square?

I'm hoping some of my favorite places will still be in business when I return.

Morrus, did you have someone in Oxford on hand to take you around? It really makes a difference if you have a member of the University to not only show you some of the lesser known sites, but get you inside of them.

'Fraid not. But then, we probably wouldn't have time to do much omre than we did - it was a very busy weekend, and we were both exhausted at the end of it.

While we're thinking about old things, I might mention that I work for the Royal College of Physicians of London - which recieved its royal charter about, oh, 483 years ago...

The secondary school I went to was about that old. The building was Victorian but the institution was founded in the 15th C. I find it funny (in an endearing way) when Americans say with pride that they went to a college that's a hundred years old. That's so quaint! :p

Yep, Chutney's is still there, I'm going for a meal with friends tomorrow to celebrate school ending.

I'm not sure about Kebab Kid unfortunately :D

So jealous. So . . . so jealous. Know that while you eat your fine meal tonight I'm thinking of your dinner.
