[Mor's End Discussion] Administration

SRD and Word Docs...

Buttercup...
I think they should attach a simple text document, instead of a Word doc. That will make it easier for folks without Word (like me).

SRD...
I like Krug's idea on providing references to where the PrC, feat, or skill might be located, but I think that adds a lot more complexity to the proceedings.

And honestly... I'll be looking for the best plot hooks... not the best collection of books. ;)

Here's a possible compromise...
Why don't we come up with a couple of PrCs, Feats or Skills that offer flavor to Mor's End. We just come up with the name, but we leave it to ENWorlders to actually come up with what the name means.

For Example, we decide we need a special PrC for Lady Kelvin's personal guards... we come up with an appropriate name, perhaps even an ingredient or two. Then we let the ENWorlders have at it in a contest.

Just a suggestion... as always, you may dump it if it doesn't work. :)

Man Buttercup that is wonderful. Couldn't ask for more.

Lalato > Main caveat with that is it might confuse the contributors right now, and future users might not want to use it in their campaign. The thing with these feats and so on is that they might upset game balance. I've seen too many unbalanced feats and PrCs.

I quite like the jellyfish idea, and quite all right with just using the SRD.

Should we ask for non-adventurer type NPCs for now?

Thanks! I'll go ahead and start the thread then.

I really like the jellyfish idea too. I've never statted a monster before, though, so would anyone want to volunteer?

And Krug, I think that, since a city is mostly composed of commoners and experts, with a helping of warriors & adepts, and only a handful of adventuring classes, comparatively speaking, that we should just ask people to come up with anyone they find interesting. As long as we get interesting PCs with good plot hooks, who cares what class they are?

(my 2 cents)

I agree... I'll be looking for the best plot hooks, and most interesting characters regardless of class or social status.

Then it's decided... only SRD. (and there was much rejoicing in all of Enheim)

I guess it sounds good. My main reason for staggering things were so that we could maintain interest and concentrate people's attention. If we do a CoS for anything under the sun, we're likely to get swamped.

Right now lets stick with NPCs and shops. Organizations can come later.

Before I get into anything else can I just congratulate everyone who's gotten this awesome project off the ground... I've spent a lot of time this morning reading through previous posts and think you've done marvelously... I would love to be a part of it, if there's anything I can offer you or assist with...

if you're still looking for someone to take care of this, I have an idea on how the stat it, either as an animal or something more "hazardous"... and I'd be happy to put it together for you and see if you like it...

:)

The deadline for the current Call for Submissions is Saturday, March 22nd. Why don't we wait until Friday, March 21st to post the contest?

Besides, I have a business trip this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday... and I don't want to overdo it until I get back.
