Watersilk jellies (or Mor’s End Jellies as they are sometimes called) are an innocuous little aquatic creature that no-one would usually pay any attention to. In general, their bulbous bodies are the shape of a flatten bell, pale pink in colour, and range from 6 to 9 inches in diameter, however decomposing jellies have been found on the shoreline of their habitat that measure over 2 feet across. The small watersilk jellies have several dozen fine tendrils, some measuring up to 3 feet in length, protruding from the bottom of their bells which secrete a mild toxin used for paralysing small fish, the watersilk jellies' main source of food. The stinging tendrils of the large jellies can grow to over 6 feet long.
Over the years, the inhabitants of Mor’s End discovered that the tendrils could be harvested and treated with a weak acid, like vinegar, to produce fine strands that, when spun together produced an incredibly, smooth, supple and strong thread. The exquisite fabric woven from this thread, known as watersilk, has become one of the most noted commodities of the city of Mor’s End.
Combat
Watersilk jellies are not known for their abilities in combat given that their tendrils are for snaring food rather than repelling attackers. Nonetheless many silk-farmers can attest to the fact that the jellies' sting can inflict a nasty wound, and even leave a man immobile for a short period.
Poison: stinging tendril, Fortitude save DC 10 (for Tiny and Small jellies; DC 11 for a Medium-size watersilk jelly); initial damage 1d2 Dexterity, secondary damage paralysed for 1 minute
Regenerate: If a watersilk jelly looses a tendril for any reason, the remnants of the lost appendage begins to regenerate within 24 hours, and a completely new tendril is formed within 2 weeks.
Blindsight:e surface of the bell of the watersilk jelly is effectively one complex sensory system. Through variations in water movement and temperature, the jelly can detect the presence of anything within 30 feet of it.
I've attached the word doc of it as well, if that makes anyones life easier...
