[Mor's End Discussion] Administration

my apologies if this is the wrong thread

A thought occured to me today. This might be a little ahead of things but I think there should be an introductory adventure. The working title I came up with is 'Easter Eggs'. The point would be more of a walking tour of the city then an traditional adventure. Very little if any combat involved. The plot would have to have hooks for any character to get involved.

The deadline for the current Call for Submissions is Saturday, March 22nd. Why don't we wait until Friday, March 21st to post the contest?

Besides, I have a business trip this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday... and I don't want to overdo it until I get back.

Sounds good. Thanks Sam for all your help. :)

Dglass> Not a bad idea but that might have to wait a little until things are a bit more developed. :)

Ruavel> No problem!

Rolling rolling...

Some really great stuff so far! Perhaps lets try to tidy the threads by adding Mor's End Discussion and Mor's End Submissions. And try to use the discussion threads as much as possible so as to tidy things up?

And start talking to artists? As well as think of archiving...

Krug, the first thing we need to find out is if it is possible to get Mor's End its own Forum on EN World. At the rate it's expanding, it will take over the Plots & Places Forum in no time.

Have you talked to Morrus about thie idea?

I've posted in Meta but lets wait a bit. I think the powers-that-be want to see how it goes first and populate this underused forum.

Watersilk jellies (or Mor’s End Jellies as they are sometimes called) are an innocuous little aquatic creature that no-one would usually pay any attention to. In general, their bulbous bodies are the shape of a flatten bell, pale pink in colour, and range from 6 to 9 inches in diameter, however decomposing jellies have been found on the shoreline of their habitat that measure over 2 feet across. The small watersilk jellies have several dozen fine tendrils, some measuring up to 3 feet in length, protruding from the bottom of their bells which secrete a mild toxin used for paralysing small fish, the watersilk jellies' main source of food. The stinging tendrils of the large jellies can grow to over 6 feet long.

Over the years, the inhabitants of Mor’s End discovered that the tendrils could be harvested and treated with a weak acid, like vinegar, to produce fine strands that, when spun together produced an incredibly, smooth, supple and strong thread. The exquisite fabric woven from this thread, known as watersilk, has become one of the most noted commodities of the city of Mor’s End.

Combat

Watersilk jellies are not known for their abilities in combat given that their tendrils are for snaring food rather than repelling attackers. Nonetheless many silk-farmers can attest to the fact that the jellies' sting can inflict a nasty wound, and even leave a man immobile for a short period.
Poison: stinging tendril, Fortitude save DC 10 (for Tiny and Small jellies; DC 11 for a Medium-size watersilk jelly); initial damage 1d2 Dexterity, secondary damage paralysed for 1 minute
Regenerate: If a watersilk jelly looses a tendril for any reason, the remnants of the lost appendage begins to regenerate within 24 hours, and a completely new tendril is formed within 2 weeks.
Blindsight:e surface of the bell of the watersilk jelly is effectively one complex sensory system. Through variations in water movement and temperature, the jelly can detect the presence of anything within 30 feet of it.

I've attached the word doc of it as well, if that makes anyones life easier...

:)

Krug or anyone, one of the posters to the Craft & Trade thread asked what the names of of the coins were. I know I've seen it, but I can't remember where, and we have so much material that it's getting hard to find a particular thing.

So, can any of you answer this here? I'll check this thread as often as I can today, and post it in the Craft thread as soon as I get an answer.
