Most embarrassing gaming moment… Well let me tell you a story. Some years ago, back in high school, we would play at my hose on Sundays. It was an all day affair; I got up early set up the table and refreshments and waited for the group to arrive, which was usually midmorning. This one day after I set everything up I decide to take a shower. Took my adventure notes notebook with me to the bathroom…

While I was washing away, there was a knock on the door. The group had gotten there early, my friends and one of their girlfriends. My mom, half asleep gets up lets them in and goes back to bed. My friends, of all days, decide to be really quiet as to not bother my mother…

I exit the bathroom and before going to my rood o get dressed I decide to get a something to drink. I’m reading my notes and walking to the kitchen totally naked. I heard giggling as soon as I stepped into the dinning room. I looked up and there they were some starred others looked away, others just laughed. I simply used the notebook to strategically cover myself and backed away telling them I’d be right back.

I was so embarrassed, but nevertheless got dressed and ran them through the adventure.

No, he clearly said "hose." He was apparantly walking around naked outside by the lawn sprinkler. Frankly, I think he should have expected to be seen. Carrying on outdoors in nothing but a notebook!

We camp and game quite often. Generally hiking while roleplaying and stopping for combat. In fact, two summers ago we all go extremely sunburned when a bandit challenged our grumpy dwarven fighter to a staring contest. Two hours later......

I had one that was pretty sad.. When I first started Roleplaying, I was playing with a bunch of people older than me.. My dad, his friends, etc..
That wasn't normally a problem, but It was rather embarrasing whenever I wasn't quite with it.

I remember in one session, we in the middle of a tough fight against some undead.. The PCs were losing it badly, and we weren't sure how to get out of it.
I was playing an apprentice mage, and running out of spells, but I still had a Polymorph Self.. I thought about it for a minute, and decided we could use that to help.

Thge chips were down, everyone was looking roughed up, so I turn to the GM and say triumphantly..
"I turn into a Dryad!"

Everyone else justs looks at me.. "Why?" The GM asks..
"Well, I want to live! We need the best we can to get out of here, and I'm not powerful enough for much more.. A Dryad is the best shot we have."

It took about 15 minutes for us to realize that I was misrembering the name of a Drider, not Dryad.

I can just imagine it, though.. This beautiful half naked woodspirit charging against the necromantic hordes...

When I was a teenager, with yon raging hormones, I fancied myself a writer and used to write stories where I was the buxom damsel in distress in various teenage movies (the one in question being a Sean Astin film called "Toy Soldiers.")

The one where half the movie is strapping young men in their underwear fighting terrorists?

You're not to blame, Hijinks. In fact, you're the victim here.

PS: Those Marines let you off light!!!! ;)

I can't think of any really embarrassing game moments, but our group plays regularly at an apartment complex where the host/DM is the manager. He never tells us to tone it down, and we usually get rather loud. I often wonder what his tenants think, especially the ones who live next door.

What must it be like to be hanging around your apartment on a Sunday afternoon and hear someone next door yelling, "Squirrel!" (we have a comedy superhero game in which one of the PCs is the Spectacular Squirrel; the player has some dice with squirrels as ones so he shouts "squirrel!" whenever he gets a one).
Maybe that's why there have been a lot of vacancies in the complex lately? :D

So I stole this story, it is now a folk legend IMC- told to the party by a local bard :)
