Most popular no-core classes?

I know it's super niche but ... Totemist. An incarnum system where you decide what soulmelds to equip and then move or spend a small pool of points to increase effects to expend powers has tons of design space.

I agree. My suggestion for the totem shaman is the soulmeld powers should something like monster traits, or a temporal monster template. Other idea is incarnum + magic pet, or like the incarnum version of the psionic aegis, a 3d party pathfinder class created by Dreamscarred Press.
