Most underrated feat(s)

The problem with Durable is that over time more and more ways to expend surges have appeared. With just core PHB it was a pretty good feat because it was HARD for low level PCs to unlock more than at most 2 surges in an encounter. Nowadays with Astral Seal, Recovery Strike, and more and more surge triggering powers and items its just not that big a deal. Even low level parties can either access several surges or simply live off the surgeless AS/RS healing. This means that Toughness has gradually become the better of the two feats.

Okay, you have me confused. I would think that having more ways to expend surges would make Durable *more* valuable, not less. I see the bit about surgeless healing, but that won't be possible in many parties.

I would interpret it otherwise as it states that the opponent moves to is slid into the square that you occupied, but ruling the opponent slides into the second square that you shifted through would also be a valid interpretation.
You can't do this because the power explicitly says that you slide the target 1 square. In situations where one does not have enough squares to move an opponent into a particular square, the effect does not work.

You are correct, unless a single diagonal move would suffice to move the opponent into the square that you vacated.

Yes indeed. And it is worth it to shift two squares to do this instead of one if one has the boots of the fencing master. Anyone with the Mark of Passage feat should pick up the boots, as the give +1 to AC (and reflex, I think) whenever the wearer shifts at least two squares.

I think Psychic Lock is very good for dark pact and fey pact warlocks, illusionist wizards, and telepathic psions. Solid Sound is great for any characters focusing on force/thunder attacks -- storm sorcerers, wizards, swordmages, stormheart wardens, and thunderborn barbarians come to mind.

Jack of All Trades seems to shine when coupled with a bard -- +3 to all untrained skills means you can contribute in a lot of different situations.

It is +1AC/Ref, but its when you shift period. I think they are pretty much the best heroic-tier boots in the game; useful property that is triggered often AND an encounter power.

Really? What about Acrobat Boots? Level 2 item to make stand-from-prone a minor action sounds damn good to me. It is *such* a pain to be knocked down one square away from where you want to be, and it seems to happen a lot.

Most of our group wears Acrobat Boots well into paragon. I've been lucky with my characters enough to not be too inconvenienced by getting prowned, so upgrade to the Fencing Master as soon as I can. Then, once per fight if I do go prone, I stand up as a move and use the boots power as a minor action to shift where I need to be.

Shifty boots, as they are known round here, let you shift as a minor too so they include a lot of the the functionality of Acrobat boots. At paragon the Boots of Eagerness extra move action does this & more. These are both encounter powers so if you are getting knocked on your butt a lot then acrobat boots may be better but the other ones are so much more generally useful.

OOps OT still the feat that lets you stand up as a minor is handy (or is it a power?)
