[MotW] Natural Spell?

Doing this from memory, it's a "Wild" feat (you need Wildshape). It allows you to cast spells in a wildshape form. It isn't metamagic and doesn't modify the level of the spells.

Unlike still/silent, it won't work in a silence field or while grappled, it merely means you can cast spells using beastlie grunts and gestures in lieu of human ones.

Um. The feat lets a druid in wild shape cast spells with somantic or verbal components. However, they must still be able to hold material components. So if you see a bear walking toward you with a mouth full of holly, watch out!

Also, keep in mind that the druid must drop components before shape changing, because anything on her person will disapear within the wild shape.

Hmm,

DM-"you see a squirrle Flipping around and wiggling it's tail, while squeaking like it is possessed..."

Player-"HAHA, look at that squirrel,it's going psycho...lemme put it out of it's misery..."

DM-"you approach the squirrel, but it stops dancing around and squeaking, just a the ground roars up with sheeyts of flame, make a Reflex save..."
Player-"WHAT!...CRAP"

Why bother with the wildling clasp for components?

Simply pick up the Eschew Materials feat from T&B and you're set.

Can you imagine how scary druids can potentially be? Pick up Silent Spell, Eschew materials and Natural Spell and in a forest, you would NEVER find the druid. Unlike improved invisibility which can be countered, there is no effective method in finding this druid. He could be a chiopmunk, a squirrel or a bird. You would be SOL.

Could the wilding clasp others have mentioned solve the material components problem?

"the item works only when attached to an amulet, vest, or similar item." - MotW pg 30

Eschew Materials feat would work, IMO, unless the DM feels that Divine Focuses are used differently than material components. ie. common image of vampire slayers fending off blood suckers with prominently displayed holy symbol. (I know, not a spell being cast, but the imagery may be similar)

Wilding clasp would work if attached to a cloak with pockets in it, or something of the sort (a "cloak of holding" perhaps).

Also, true seeing would solve the spellcasting squirrel problem....°
