Mounts for an Epic Dwarven Paladin

I prefer the Dire Wolf. Only takes one extra level to get the mount (6th versus 5th). The Dire Wolf is stronger than a horse. He has better legs for dealing with steps and tunnels. He also can go down on his belly to allow the dwarf to mount/dismount easier than a horse can.

I want a different type of mount for a 24th level Paladin... any suggestions?
Also would like it to be an underground creature type (non-flying) preferable, and not super gigantic, he is a dwarf after all.

Be nice to him though or he'll probaby kick your arse and half the party if you rile him up.
Aside from that, its one of the few templates that have enough thump to live through an epic encounter.

Blind ostrich is just silly.

No sillier than you wanting him to fight them giant dinosaur birds underground with a flying ostrich.
