Movie ideas

First Post
I wish I were a rich director. There are already several D&D things I would love to see in movie form. I would love to see a live-action Temple of Elemental Evil and/or the abridged version of Return to tToEE. Ideally, one would live-action tape a group of players going through the dungeon(s), document all that is said and done, and convert it into a movie script. I just think of how much foolishness *I* went though going through RttToEE, and half the stuff *I* did in there would have made a GREAT movie. *LOL*

Also, and I'm sure it's been requested before, but any of the Drizzt trilogies by Salvatore would make an excellent watch. I would probably make them in order of release, starting with the Crystal Shard trilogy.

Let's face it, fantasy in movie form is a toguh sell because there is just so many BAD fantasy movies made nowadays (LotR and Harry Potter excluded, of course). It's kind of like horror movies... you have to watch ten turkeys to find a decent one.

Ditto on the Drizzt idea. For a couple of years now, I've thought that it would be cool if a movie trilogy were to made of The Icewind Dale Trilogy, with Ray Park cast as Drizzt and Antonio Banderas as Artemis Entreri. :)

A movie based on the Thief PC Games. Sure, it would lose some of the visual appeal of the games, but, done right, it would ooze style and dread, especially if it focused on the Trickster. :)

A Drizzt movie could be good.

I'd LOVE to see A Song of Ice and Fire as a series/miniseries. That would be super excellent.

If I were a rich director, I'd make a truly epic Pirate vs Ninja movie. It would have a cast of thousands, big-budget special effects, fight scenes choreographed by the greatest martial arts masters in the world, and epic large-scale battle scenes to rival those found in Return of the King (imagine, if you will, an army of 100,000 pirates charging into battle against an army of 100,000 ninjas).

Yeah, that would be cool. :D

That idea got me so pumped up I headbutted my dog.

And for 100,000 pirates you'd only need like four ninjas.
