Moving between modules

I'm, not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes!
So I recently started running an SKT campaign but several players have just moved from the starter set to part 2 in another group. What I intend to do, therefore is only use part 1 and switch to another module if possible. My question, for those who have used/read them, is which of the published books would be easiest to cross over to - perhaps having Morak the innkeeper give them a linking quest and then Zephryos the giant can still take them to the relevant location. Basically which adventure has the least crucial plot points in levels 1 through 4?

Thanks in advance for your input!!

Welcome to the boards, have some XP.

There should not be a problem changing like this. The lower levels can be fudged a bit as long as you and the players have some experience playing and know how to switch gears.

I think Tomb of Anhililation would be perfect for this switch.

You could have Zephros taking the group to (someplace), get blown completely off course, & crash in the jungles of Chult.
Your new ToA plot has nothing to do with the pcs being sent to stop the death curse. Just the PCs lost in a dinosaur infested jungle. Of course they may well stumble across stuff that leads them to stopping the DC & the growing atropal....
Imagine Aceraks annoyance when he checks back on his plot!
He's set this up out of the way, shrouded it from detection by high lv/powerfull foes, wrapped it in a killer dungeon, surrounded by hundreds of miles of dinosaur infested jungle - and because of some stupid giants plotting against each other HIS plans get screwed up as nobody adventurers are practically air-dropped in!

OR

Zephros could drop the PCs into Chult in order to thwart the Frost giants from seizing the Ring of Winter from Artus Cimbar.
Of course in the process of doing this the party also gets involved in the DC/Atropal plot....

Agree, it would be quite easy to drop players into ToA, most of the 1-4 level stuff in that module is padding anyway. Or The Hidden Shrine of Tamochian in TotYP. But that would still involve dumping the party in the middle of the jungle, and there is less content to follow.

It would be extraordinarily easy to drop them in at the start of Out of the Abyss, although you may want to ask your players for permission to have their characters abducted by the drow, since they might resent the railroadyness of that bit.

Excellent feedback - really appreciate it! That definitely sounds like it could work really well. I wasn't sure if the lack of background would hurt.

Many thanks!
