Moving to Austin

Heya all, Suzi and I are moving to Austin tomorrow. We found a nice apartment close to downtown near the greenbelt area around town lake/zilker park.

Now with us in Austin along with Ari, Phil, and Wil we may reach critical mass and a d20 black hole may form..... :)

I'll be out of touch for several days,

Good luck with the move! Hope you've got lots of friends to lift all the boxes and you can just sit back with a beer in one hand, a pizza slice in the other, and point to where you want the boxes put!

Right now, it looks to pass well to the east of there....
They always do; Austin's too far inland. I lived most of my life about an hour and a half east of Austin; much closer to Houston in fact. The worst hurricane effect we got was a few days of rain and wind, and maybe some tornado warnings here and there.

Of course, Rita is supposed to be the worst to hit the Texas coast since 1906 or so when Galveston was nearly wiped off the map. I still don't think Austin is in danger of anything other than some rain. Which is usually good for Austin, actually.

Hey, Joe--eat some Freebirds for me, d00d! My wife's always buggin' me to move back to Austin or San Antonio (which have kinda grown into a single giant metropolitan area in the last few years anyway) and if that ever happens, I'll give you a jingle and join you for a monster burrito myself.

I've had to worry more about hurricanes where I'm at now than I ever did the previous state I lived in: Florida. More specifically: Homestead. At least not until when we moved up here and got chased by Hurricane David back in '79. Funny how I can remember that but not much else.... (or at least that's what Mom tells me...)

Hey- Austin is a GREAT city!

Check out Dragon's Lair- a classically good gaming store.

And if you run into Alan Hench, tell him Tony said "Hi!"
