D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Absorb Elements | "Thundering" should be "Thunder" I think.

Investiture of Wind | Missed a "1a" to "1 a" in the description.

Planth growth | "1 a/8h" should be "1 a/8 h".

General search/replaces
Search for #h and replace by # h, where # is a number. Unless you want to do #h for descriptions, which may have been the original goal and the plant growth a find/replace leftover.

Search #gp and replace by # gp, (or vice versa).

I also note that some numbers above 999 are comma-delimited while others are not. The inconstancy may only be because of hidden column stuff, however.

In general, you should probably search for all instances of double spaces and replace them with single spaces.

I also notice that the "Changed the cantrips so that their damage auto-updates with character level" thing of 3.8 doesn't seem to work. I haven't tried the 3.8 sheets though.

I tried your Beta sheet and I really like where this is going. I'm reverting back to 6.4 for now because of the Barbarian addition. Here's what I've attempted with the Beta sheet so far and hopefully it'll give you insight so you can bug fix:

In the class field on page 1, I had to figure out exactly how you wanted the Totem type listed so the proper fields would populate. This isn't very intuitive and took me about a half an hour trying different combinations. I ended up with this: Path of the Totem Warrior (Bear) 3, Fighter 2.
Because I had built this starting at level 5 and attempted to add it as Barbarian 3/Fighter 2, the original text remained in the descriptive skills box but mixed with the Fighter class information when I finally correctly added the Totem bear information. It also stated that I hadn't chosen a Totem path even though I had selected it from the dropdown just up and to the right of the Class Features section.

Might I suggest having a dropdown for your primary class and any secondary (and perhaps tertiary)class as well as a dropdown for each level on page 1? This keeps the Barbarian 3, Fighter 2 in the class line at the top of page 1, but lets the player select Berserker/Totem Path on page 2 in the Class Features box. Any barbarian is going to choose one path or another so it seems best to add it here. This should eliminate the confusion of figuring out how to state it correctly at the top of page 1 and effectively remove the term "Barbarian". Not to step on philosophical toes, but you're forcing the player to remove his identity. The Berserker/Totem moniker is merely a subset of the character's true class.

Please let me know if I've stated myself clearly enough. I can certainly flesh this out more but i don't want to write too lengthy of a post.

The v3.9 spell sheet generator prints out the complete spell list not just those entered in the input sheet. I checked for bards and warlocks.

@Headbomb: Thank you again for your scrutiny. I should've been clearer about some of my changes so you know they are intentional. Let me reply to your text:

>> For the next version, I'd suggest including an optional abbreviation legend at the bottom of the sheet (e.g. after the last printed level of spells). I'd also fill the Save columns with endashes/emdashes when no save is allowed, but again, that's personal preference more than functionality.
Both have been added. The abbreviation legend was quite a bit of work, but it is now fully optional and automated :P

>> Investiture of Wind | Missed a "1a" to "1 a" in the description.
At first it needed to stay 1a to fit in the field. But after I removed the save text it does work. It has been changed in v4.0.

>> Planth growth | "1 a/8h" should be "1 a/8 h".
If I put a space between 8 and h, it will be too long for the printout. It is the widest 'time' and one of its kind. Sorry, but it has to yield for the greater good.

>> Search for #h and replace by # h, where # is a number. Unless you want to do #h for descriptions, which may have been the original goal and the plant growth a find/replace leftover.

Both the h and gp are intentionally done without spaces. Mostly because 24h looks better and the gp would otherwise take up precious space.

>> I also note that some numbers above 999 are comma-delimited while others are not. The inconstancy may only be because of hidden column stuff, however.
Which numbers? I see no numbers that have a thousand-separator (that is what you mean right, or do you mean comma for decimals?)

>> In general, you should probably search for all instances of double spaces and replace them with single spaces.
I did with v3.9. I did it again for the new version and I found 1 instance that came about after adding in the new stuff for Blade Barrier.

>> I also notice that the "Changed the cantrips so that their damage auto-updates with character level" thing of 3.8 doesn't seem to work. I haven't tried the 3.8 sheets though.
Crap! I broke this during the search and replace actions. I accidentally copy-pasted everything to values. Also fixed in v4.0

@Ohillion: Did you find the mouseover pop-up when you put your cursor over the 'Class' field? There it is explained how you should enter your class. For Barbarian with the Path of the Totem Warrior any text is ok, as long as you write "totem warrior" in there somewhere. So "Barbarian (Path of the Totem Warrior)" is correct, but so is just "Totem Warrior" or "Barbarian, Totem Warrior" and "Barbarian (totem warrior)" etc. etc.

The selection for bear, eagle, and wolf is done on the second page by clicking the "Choose Feature" button. There is no use for writing "Bear" into the class field (which would not be really functional considering you can pick a different animal for each class feature). You can do it for fun, of course! Just write "Bear Totem Warrior" or something similar :)

@adranis: I broke something in v3.9 that will have some really random effects. This has been fixed in v4.0. Thank you for letting me know!

So this brings us to Spell Sheet generator v4.0 (9-7-2015)
It has the following changelog:
- Fixed errors in spell descriptions (thanks Headbomb again)
- Fixed bugs that were introduced in v3.9 (cantrips didn’t work, spell sheets automation gave random results)
- Added “—“ to the “Save” column for spells without a save (as per the suggestion of Headbomb)
- Added an optional glossary of the abbreviations used (as per the suggestion of Headbomb)

Thanks for the clarification, that certainly helped.

One bug to note...the Human (variant) no longer shows the correct 'Racial Traits'. I selected this race and get "Human (+1 to all ability scores).

>> Both have been added. The abbreviation legend was quite a bit of work, but it is now fully optional and automated :P

Woohoo! Looking forward to it!

>> Which numbers? I see no numbers that have a thousand-separator (that is what you mean right, or do you mean comma for decimals?)

I saw some hits when doing searches for "gp". I think it's text that you used from the PHB that is hidden, but somehow still embedded in the sheets. I can't find any instances in the stuff that would actually be seen by someone printing the sheets.

I just noticed you use both bns and bns a for bonus action. Is there really a reason to keep bns a? Seems most (if not all) places it's used would be just fine with bns, altough I suppose bns a does read somewhat better.

Some more typos (yes, again! I'm relentless!)

Aganazzar's Scorcher | Still a reference to "Dexterity save halves"

Bigby's Hand | "Bns" should be "bns" in description.

Erupting Earth | Still a reference to "Dexterity save halves"

Faerie fire | "had advantage" should be "have advantage"

Ice Storm | "1rnd" should be "1 rnd" in description.

Snilloc's Snowball Sawm | Still a reference to "Dexterity save halves"

Sleet storm | "dif. Terrain" should be "dif. ter."

@Ohillion: Thank you for letting me know! This was a casualty of streamlining some code to be faster. It will be fixed in the next version!

@Headbomb: Thank you again for all your corrections, I have implemented them in v4.01 with some of my own concerning difficult terrain. I use "1 bns" and "1 rea" only in the "Time" column. For the descriptions "rea" and "bns a" read better IMHO.
