D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Haha, we're cool, man. I'll send you the fixes for fighters and monks in a little while. Naw, class names have no need to be capitalized unless they're at the beginning of a sentence or part of someone's actual title (e.g. "Reya, Paladin of Corruption").

I see what threw me off about the Drow magic. Under Racial Traits line 6 you have "Drow Magic: 1st level: dancing lights cantrip; 3rd level; faerie fire; 5th level: darkness." And on line 7, "Both spells can be used once per long rest. Charisma is my spellcasting ability for these." Since the dancing lights cantrip wasn't showing up under Limited Features, I thought the others did not either. My bad. :( Even though dancing lights is a limited feature, per se, it still can be cast at any time, which means it would not be listed under Limited Features.

The second thing that threw me was line 7 when it says "both" referring to line 6, which had 3 spells listed. I think line 7 should be reworded so that it refers to faerie fire & darkness only.

I would also make the suggestion of adding these spells to the notes section on page 3 of the sheet.

"Both spells" refers to the spells, not the cantrip. I sometimes make this mistake as well, but in 5e cantrips are never called spells.

I'm not going to add spell descriptions to the sheet. That is an endless pit and there is already a spell sheet generator :)

Re: "Both Spells" Understood.

As far as adding spells to the sheet, I'm only asking for the innate spells to be added, not the class spells which I can use the Complete Spell Sheets per Class for. I suppose I could type them in myself.

As far as the spell sheet generator is concerned, I'm sure it is an excellent sheet. However, I don't have Excel, only OpenOffice Spreadsheet, which, for some reason, doesn't import your Excel sheet properly. I also know you have your hands full with the Excel sheet to do any translating to OpenOffice.

New item: Another HP related item: Dwarven Toughness is not included with max hp for Adventurer's League purposes.

I totally forgot about the hill dwarves getting extra HP. The racial features were the first to be automated. The HP tooltip came much later and by that time I had little recollection of any racial feature having to do with HP.

I'll fix it in the next version!

The book's language is funny. I don't mean "like Jeff Dunham" funny; I mean "like Joker" funny. Cantrips are defined as 0-level spells, but, for the entire rest of the book (which, I might add, actually makes more sense if you read it back-to-front, skipping spell descriptions, then going back for those), you're supposed to read "spells" and "cantrips" separately. Your spells known/prepared and cantrips known are separate, wizards can transcribe spells, but not cantrips (Note: It is a pretty harmless house rule to take after the pattern that was set in previous editions and calculate them as 1/2-level spells for such calculations and allow them to be transcribed.), spells known by spontaneous casters and prepared by prepared casters can be traded out on level-ups and long rests, respectively, but cantrips can't, et cetera, et cetera . . .
To make a long story short, as odd as it seems, MPMB's notation of "both spells" is perfectly in line with the style that the book sets forth.

Also, by definition, cantrips are unlimited, so it wouldn't make sense for them to be listed in the Limited Features. If you enter in a Lv20 barbar or druid, you'll notice that Rage and Wild Shape take themselves off the Limited Features list, too, because they become unlimited.

I have to say....you guys are awesome!!! And the work you guys do on these sheets is incredible!!! It has made game-play, rules, and organization so easy and has definitely up'd the fun factor of this game!!! Thanks for all you guys do! :-)

I do have a question...I tried using the Spell Sheet Generator V4.01, but when I choose Class: Wizard, Class Level: 4, Intelligence Score: 16, choose my Cantrips and Spells, and hit Create Spell Sheet, after it creates the Spell Sheet I do not see the SB column. I know I'm a novice when it comes to D&D, but shouldn't there be a SB column? Am I doing something wrong? It also shows all of the 1st and 2nd level spells when I chose Automate everything.

Appreciate all you time and effort!!! Happy Gaming and Thanks!!!

V7.3

I am using the cleric class with hill dwarf race. I haven't read all these pages but I will post a few possible bugs.

-Does the profiency bonus add up to the skills/saving throws anymore? Because on the recent v7.3 it is not working.
-I use plate armour and I do not get dex bonus to AC but it still gives me it.
-When selecting a warhammer, in the damage square : 100000000+2. Is this a bug?

Astromath & Noah Ivaldi: I think we're all on the same page now concerning Cantrips :)

liquidjam: the idea behind the spell sheet generator is that you have two options.

Option 1: print out a sheet every time you change something in your spellbook (or spells known). You select the spells that are in your spellbook and only those get printed. This way a SB column is redundant because all the spells on your sheet are in your spellbook.

Option 2: You get a list of all the spells and print the sheet only once. After that you keep track of which spells are in your spellbook with the SB column.

If you select option 1 as a wizard you have to manually decide which spells are in your spellbook. You do this by pressing the orange button 'edit spells on the list' in the dialog (or something similar, I don't have the sheet in front of me). After doing that you get an extra column on the spell sheet tab where you can select the visibility of each spell.

Hope this explanation helps!

Nevaris: All the things you mention have before been brought to my attention by people who were using PDF viewers different than Adobe Acrobat. So before I dive into these bugs, could you please verify that you are using Adobe Acrobat XI or DC with this PDF?
